WEEKLY WRAP-UP
.
WEATHER: Most of the week was pretty darn hot! 105 or so. It started cooling off on Friday, down in the 90's. Then Saturday it was cool and cloudy with a slight sprinkling, in the 60's. Sunday was gorgeous around 80.
.
SUNDAY SERMON: we had a guest speaker, Bob Shank (because Pastor Greg was doing a Harvest Crusade in Philadelphia). He spoke on Romans 12 (one of my favorites) and how we should act as Christians---we should be "a remarkable exception in a darkening world."
.
LIFE LESSONS: if I don't do my prayer and bible time every day and miss church, I feel lost.
.
FAVORITE MEAL: taco cornbread pizza, hand-dipped polish sausage corn dog at the fair
.
TREASURED MOMENTS: seeing my pictures in the photo exhibit at the fair
.
TALKED WITH: mom, dad(his 78th birthday was Saturday!!)
.
THINGS I READ: The Shack by William P. Young (Amazing!!)
.
WHAT I WATCHED: Intervention, AMTM, Ugly Betty, Kimbo Slice Elite XC fight, football
.
PLACES WE WENT: AC football game, SoCal Fair
.
BUDGET SAVERS/BUSTERS: Buster: $25 for lunch for 3 at the fair
.
BLESSINGS: fall-like weather
.
CHALLENGES: just getting through the week
.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: My Jamaican Lizard photo won 3rd place and my Bee on a Sunflower picture won 4th place, both in the Nature category at the fair!!!!!!!
I fixed the computer at home!!!!!!!!
.
FAMILY HAPPENINGS: AC ad a game on Thurs. They lost, 26-28, but he didn't play again.
Saturday we went to the SoCal Fair to see my photos. While we were there we watched the Monster Truck show and the kids raced remote control Nascar cars and we went to the petting zoo.
I am on vacation this week so I can't get the pics off my camera. I'll do that next week.
This week I'm relaxing (cleaning), pretending I'm a stay-at-home mom!!!!

I finished The Shack and then my 26-yr old read it. The 19-yr old is next. I want to do a post on it but I'm waiting for my "secretary" to get through her tests so she can speed-type my favorite parts! LOL!

Congrats on BOTH 3rd and 4th! Awesome! AND for fixing the computer! LOL!
