WEATHER: really nice, around 95. Until was 109.
SUNDAY SERMON: didn't make it to church but my memory verse was Psalm 55:22...."Give your burdens to the Lord and He will take care of you. He will not allow the godly to slip and fall.
LIFE LESSONS: pray, pray, pray.
TREASURED MOMENTS: KT's first day of Jr High! Seeing AC really suck up the pain (no more crybaby!!); when we went to Dairy Queen and I was licking my ice cream, AC saying to me, "Ewww, mom! You just made out with that ice cream!"
TALKED WITH: my mom, Stacy
THINGS I READ: finished Life Management for Busy Women; started Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald S. Whitney
WHAT WE WATCHED: "21"; it was ok. Made me really want to go to Vegas!
PLACES WE WENT: Urgent Care; Kt's Jr High registration; Taco Nite; Angel's game
BUDGET SAVERS/BUSTERS: Busters: $30 AC Urgent Care; $10 Katy p.e. clothes; $28 AC armpads and chin pad. Savers: coupon for FREE smoothie from Jack in the Box
BLESSINGS: no broken bones! good insurance! T feeling better!
CHALLENGES: T really sick on Fri and Sat, had to go to the game just me and the kids, got kinda sorta lost on the way home (I knew where I was and where I needed to be, I just couldn't put the two together).
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: I figured it out and got us home! Lost 2 lbs!
FAMILY HAPPENINGS: We thought AC broke his thumb in practice on Tues. He got it tangled up in the quarterback's face mask. Thankfully it was just a bad sprain.
KT spent the night at a friend's house on Tues and went to the community pool.
AC, KT, and I went to the Angel's game on Sat night. The Angel's beat the Minnesota Twins 7-5. It was a really good game. We tried to hangout on the walkway for awhile after so we could watch the fireworks from Disneyland, but the kicked us out.

AC's brace (which he wore for a total of 1 day):

13 Reasons I couldn't think of a better Thursday Thirteen

2. I have to take my girl to her Jr High registration
3. I had a headache again (don't worry Mom, it's just allergies)
4. I actually did my work first before playing on the computer
5. I was busy sorting my recipes
6. I was busy doing my budget
7. I was working on my Project 365
8. I finished a book
9. I started another book
10. I've done more laundry this week than usual
11. I did my menu for a month
12. My brain is in a fog and I couldn't really think of 13 things

Where have the years gone?????

They start Jr High and High School next week.

(I stole this idea from Dawn's blog. Thanks Dawn!!)

Weather: It was actually a very nice week. Highs right around 100, lows in the upper 60's.
Kinda humid, but not too bad.
Sunday sermon: We didn't go to church, but Pastor Greg's message at the Harvest Crusade was
all about heaven and hell.
Life lessons: I will not wear regular flip flops when I'm going to be on my feet for awhile no
matter how good my feet have been feeling lately. I did this while grocery shopping
yesterday and I could barely walk by the end of the day.
Next time I have a headache for 4 days straight, I will not take every pain reliever
known to man to try and get rid of it. I'll take a benadryl (even though I'll be in
la-la land for the next 12 hours) becuase it is most likely my sinuses even if
it doesn't feel like it.
Favorite meal(s): Has to be the Grilled Herb Garlic Chicken from last night (recipe on my recipe
blog). AC didn't even use ketchup or bbq sauce!!
Treasured moments: The silliness between the kids and their friends and I on the way home
from the Crusade because we were all getting tired.
Being able to pray for people during the altar call at the Crusade.
Seeing AC in his football gear for the first time and sharing his excitement.
AC cooking dinner because I couldn't.
KT calling me, crying that she missed me.
Talked with: My next eldest sister when she picked up KT.
Things I read: Life Management for Busy Women by Elizabeth George
Things we watched: Once again, no time for movies. My Netflix is going to waste!!
Places we went: AC and I went to his High School to get his schedule and books.
Saturday the kids and a friend each, and I went to the Harvest Crusade at
Angel Stadium.
Budget savers/busters: Buster $5.25 lemonade at Angel Stadium!! Insane!!!
Saver: a nice read and white (it matches my house!) 4'x6' area rug for my porch,
1/2 price at Lowes (only $15!!)
Blessings: Had a potential major plumbing problem Saturday morning. Thankfully it was the
Park's problem not mine and they took care of it.
That we didn't get into an accident on the way to the Crusade when a flammable
liquid truck cut in front of me doing only 45mph!!
My headache is finally gone!!!
Challenges: Getting rid of my headache.
Trusting God to take care of the plumbing problem, and not freaking out.
Accomplishments: Actually making it to a Crusade after 3 years of trying.
Finishing everyithing I had wanted to get done last week even with a
4-day headache.
Family happenings: KT spent a few days with Aunt p.
AC started hell week and didn't get hurt and still loves it!!!!!!
Both kids attacked their rooms yesterday and made major strides.

We didn't do a whole heck of a lot this weekend.
Thursday night after tacos, we went to the soccer field to give cousin H her bday present:

Friday night in my garden, I discovered that a possum has been snacking on one of my melons:

Saturday morning, we went recycling. We made $130!!!

Saturday afternoon, I cooked. Lime and herb halibut, ranch potatoes, tequila lime shrimp, and strawberry banana bread. Then we watched another UFC fight.

Sunday, the kids and I went shopping for school clothes. We got some really great deals and ended up only spending around $200. We went to Walmart, too, for supplies.

We also got AC his new phone:

This week, KT will be going to Aunt P's house tomorrow through Saturday morning. AC has football practice all week. He gets his uniform and equipment on Friday and starts HellWeek on Saturday morning. Wednesday night we get to go pick up his schedule at school.

Saturday night the kids and a friend for each of them and myself are going to the Harvest Crusade with Greg Laurie and Angel Stadium. P.O.D. , Kutless, and Leeland will be performing. We can't wait!!!
